Myanmar and Vietnam
PDG Danny Low is the Rotary International Special Representative for Vietnam. Danny has been appointed by the Rotary International President and Board of Directors to seek the approval of the Government of Vietnam to start Rotary Clubs throughout Vietnam.
Since 1975, all the seven Rotary Clubs had ceased in Vietnam and as such there are no Rotary Clubs in Vietnam now.
The Rotary Club of Mosman holds the first PACCOM Permit to Operate from the Government of Vietnam as an NGO without office since 1995. Danny has been involved in a wide range of projects since 1992 in Vietnam and is happy to offer his assistance to any Rotary Clubs and Rotarians wising to undertake Rotary projects within Vietnam.
PDG Danny Low also has extensive contacts in Myanmar as projects started there since 2001.
Several Australian medical teams have worked with local medical professionals in cardiac surgery, hand surgery, plastic reconstruction and microsurgery. Other programs include micro credit finance schemes and financial support for orphanages and children with hearing and sight impairment
