Lower Blue Mountains Rotary honored twelve citizens of the Lower Blue Mountains and Penrith at a special Vocational Service Awards Night at Emu Plains Sports and Recreation Club on Tuesday night.
 
‘Rotary is a vocationally based community service organization and it is most appropriate we recognize those within our community who go the extra mile to provide quality service within their respective businesses,” Club Vocational Service Director Stan Noal told the gathering of award winners and family, Rotarians and friends.
 
Impressive citations were prepared for all Awards and Chairman Stan invited Rotary President Drew Fitzpatrick to conduct the presentation to each Awardee –
 
  • Ben Baxter – Proprietor of Picture Framing Warehouse in Russell Street, Emu Plains.
  • Erica Maclean – Veterinary Surgeon and proprietor of Blaxland Veterinary Practice.
  • Dean Jones – Proprietor of Nepean Micro Computers, Penrith.
  • Ian Crooke – Station Master, Werrington Railway Station.
  • Mary Suckling – Concierge, Panthers, Mulgoa Road, Penrith.
  • Bill Kershaw – Proprietor, Bill Kershaw Air Conditioning, Lower Blue Mountains.
  • Samantha Ausburn of Glenmore Park and Gay Kiddle of Norwest – Rotary Down Under magazine, Rotary International’s official regional magazine for Australia, New Zealand and near island neighbours.
  • Vicki Grace of Springwood – Year Adviser for the 2015 Graduation Class from Winmallee High School.
  • Zakaria and Theriza Yassa of Prospect – Proprietors of True Value Highway Hardware at East Blaxland.
  • Leanne Dennis – Manager of the Lapstone Hotel, Lapstone.
  • Jen Whitehouse of Blaxland – Proprietor of Fitness Plus, Blaxland.
