Availability of a second hand Rifton Utility Chair for an Australian disabled child.

The wheelchair is fairly new and in good condition. The donor’s child had outgrown the use of this and like to have Rotary to onward donate to another child who can use this.

 

This is more suited for home use or rehab centre and not so for a hospital.

 

The Rifton Activity Chair is stored in Kennard Storage, Artarmon, NSW.

Brian died last year after an accident while he was gardening.  The retired Westpac executive broke his neck and was killed instantly.

 

Widow Lynette, from Manly Vale  said the award will go in his office.  He was supposed to have received the PHF last June.  It is the first time the club has awarded this accolade posthumously.

 

Co-President, David Stewart -Hunter gave the award to Brian’s wife Lynette and her two daughters, Renee Pensini and Julia Offner, at a special dinner held recently at the Balgowlah RSL.

 

David said:  Brian was hugely well liked in Rotary. At any of our fundraisers, he would be there wanting to know how he could help.  He had been called a quiet achiever and one of nature’s gentlemen, both of which were absolutely true.  But I like to think of him simply as a nice bloke.
