s: From Giving to Impact – Saturday 20th June 2026 Dear Club Board Mem
bers\, Further to the below email\, if you have already registered we look
forward to seeing you on the 20th.   Do note that as part of Rotary Dist
rict 9685's commitment to effective stewardship of Rotary Foundation funds
and the successful delivery of impactful projects\, all Club Foundation C
hairs and International Service Chairs are required to attend the upcoming
Foundation Funding & Projects Workshop. Attendance at this workshop is ma
ndatory for clubs seeking eligibility to apply for a District Grant during
the 2026-27 Rotary year. But this is not just about what's mandatory - th
e Foundation is a great source of resources and tools\, not just funding.
And we have designed a new format and an engaging session with role-play d
ramatics to liven up the proceedings. Please see the previous message belo
w\, and register in good numbers! Following the Rotary District Assembl
y 2026\, we are convening a focused Foundation session on Saturday 20th
June 2026 to help clubs turn their contributions into tangible\, high-im
pact projects. To explain how International and Local Community projects
can be enabled utilising resources available through The Rotary Foundat
ion. This session is highly recommended for Foundation\, Community and I
nternational Chairs\, and very relevant for Presidents\, Treasurers\,
and the broader Board. We encourage every club in District 9685\, to se
nd a representative in order to benefit from opportunities offered by The
Rotary Foundation. Why attend? The Rotary Foundation is both: A beneficia
ry of our giving\, and A powerful multiplier that enables larger\, more
impactful projects When clubs actively engage on both sides - contribut
ing to and utilising the Foundation - we: Unlock significantly greater fu
nding and scale (recent projects ~$1.5M across Australia) Deliver projects
in our own name\, strengthening community impact and membership Build the
capability to design and lead meaningful initiatives What you will gain
A practical\, working session focused on outcomes: How Global Grants wo
rk — funding\, criteria\, and what gets approved How to design sustain
able\, needs-based projects How to align Foundation\, Community and Inter
national efforts New international collaboration opportunities We will a
 lso include a short\, hands-on workshop on community needs assessment\, b
rought to life with some light\, engaging dramatics to keep it practical
and memorable. In addition\, the District team will outline how we can su
pport your club — from shaping projects to connecting partners and donor
 s.
