District People - Ben Feszcuk - Rotary Club of Penrith

ImageBen Feszczuk has been a member of the Rotary Club of Penrith since 1991 and has been Treasurer of that Club since 1996.  He has been a Police Officer since 1968 and is currently the Local Area Commander, Penrith at the rank of Superintendent.  He is retiring from the NSW Police Force on 19 August 2013 having completed 45 years and 6 months service.

A Detective for some 25 years of that service, Ben was involved in numerous high profile investigations the most notable of which was the murder of Anita Cobby at Blacktown.  He has been a Local Area Commander since 1998 initially at Campbelltown and then at Penrith for the last 11 years.

By way of recognition, Ben was awarded the National Medal [with three clasps], the NSW Police Medal [with 7 clasps], the Australian Police Service Medal and the Australian Police Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2004.

Ben will continue to reside in the Penrith area with his wife Gina and intends travelling both internationally and domestically as well as escaping on his boat to catch those elusive fish.
