1. Supporting Men in Their Life Journey
Who can men turn to when facing the ups and downs of life....moving house, changing jobs, dealing with family pressures and so on. The answer lies in Mentoring Men whose CEO Simon Jarvis explains.
2. Making A Huge Difference In The Congo
Lucy Hobgood-Brown updates us on the inspirational work she is doing to improve the lives of people living in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Micro finance loans, emergency medicine education and helping pygmies harvest honey, sustainably....and more.
3. Opera In The Arboretum 2023
Yet another great story. For 18 years the Rotary Club of Woy Woy has presented Opera in the Arboretum. Funds raised support a local music scholarship, the local surf club and significantly right now, Shelterbox which is relieving the distress of earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye.
Opera in the Arboretum is an open-air, all-weather, BYO picnic style annual charity event hosted by the Rotary Club of Woy Woy.
This community event brings together a star-studded line-up of artists to perform Opera’s much loved arias, duets and ensembles in the coastal rainforest setting of the Crommelin Native Arboretum in Pearl Beach on the Central Coast. This unique venue is an easy 60 to 90 kilometres drive north of the Sydney CBD, and about 80 kilometres south of the Newcastle CBD.
And remember to send me details of any of your Club hosted activities open to the wider general public for inclusion in the What’s On section of the program which goes live to air on Friday afternoons. BBQs, book fairs, concerts etc.
