The Rotary Club of Northbridge is developing, in partnership with Willoughby City Council, other Rotary clubs and agencies like the NSW Police, a major anti-DFV and DFV awareness project. The Club is hosting a presentation on this subject on 20 Aug. at which former DG and PP of the Richmond-Ballina Rotary Club, Dave Harmon will be giving a keynote presentation on this critically-important community issue.
Outgoing Willoughby City Council Mayor, Tanya Taylor, who has offered to be that Council’s “champion” for our Club’s partnering with WCC in this issue, will be present with her team as will a large number of senior district and regional representatives. We look forward to sharing outcomes, actions, and project opportunities with the District 9685 community.

North Ryde Rotary's DVSafe Phone Drop Box Photo : Lindsay Mar
The Rotary Club of North Ryde has recently officially launched two of its community projects: the DVSafePhone initiative and the donation of a "Buddy Bench" to North Ryde Public School.
In keeping with our District's desire to make a difference in the lives of survivors of Domestic Violence, and in conjunction with the Queensland-based not-for-profit DVSafePhone, we have set up a collection point for the donation of operational mobile phones.
We are delighted to join hands with DVSafePhone in making a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by domestic violence. The Rotary Club of North Ryde is committed to fostering safe and respectful communities and this partnership resonates deeply with our objectives. DVSafePhone's mission is to donate free, essential lifelines to domestic violence survivors.
The photo shows the official launch in Cox's Rd Mall. We are especially grateful for the cooperation of the mall's landlords, Annette and Seb Lentini.

PRACTICAL SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY
Making a difference in The Hills
Kenthurst Rotary Club is looking to alleviate human suffering in our community by gathering like-minded volunteers and generous donors to provide food and drink for the homeless and disadvantaged in The Hills Shire. As well as continuing to find ways and means to expand our project to assist the vulnerable in our community.
We need funding to assist with the running costs of our newly purchased food trailer to feed those suffering in our community. A food trailer allows us the capability to go where the need is greatest throughout the Shire.
It's almost time for a fun family day out. This event is our major fund raiser for the year.
Looking forward to seeing all the smiling faces at our Kenthurst Fair on Sunday 8th
September. Tell all your family and friends to come along for a fantastic event. This event is proudly supported by The Hills Shire Council as part of the Orange Blossom Festival.
