May - Finishing Strong, Together
Dear Rotarians of district 9685
As we approach the final months of the Rotary year, it is a time to reflect on what we have achieved together and to thoughtfully consider how we finish the year strong.
Through your generosity and commitment, The Rotary Foundation has enabled measurable and sustainable impact across both our local and international communities. Lives have been improved, opportunities created, and communities strengthened. This has only been possible because of your trust in our Foundation and your continued support for which I sincerely thank you.
As clubs begin making decisions around year-end giving, I encourage you to place The Rotary Foundation at the top of your list, particularly in support of the Annual Fund and PolioPlus. Contributions to the Annual Fund today directly shape the projects we can deliver in the years ahead through District and Global Grants, while PolioPlus remains central to Rotary’s promise to the world.
For individual Rotarians, this is also a timely opportunity to consider The Rotary Foundation as your charity of choice when planning your personal giving. As part of your year-end or tax planning, your contribution can make a meaningful difference while supporting causes aligned with Rotary’s mission of Doing Good in the World.
I would also like to congratulate the clubs that have successfully delivered their District Grant projects this year. Your efforts have created meaningful impact within our communities and reflect the strength of Rotary at a grassroots level. For those finalising projects, this is a gentle reminder to complete and submit your final reports, ensuring we continue to uphold strong stewardship.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks for your continued support to the District Rotary Foundation Team. It has been a privilege to work alongside so many dedicated Rotarians who are committed to service and impact.
As I step down from my role as District Rotary Foundation Chair, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to serve as part of the District Rotary Foundation Team over the past 10 years. It has been an experience I have truly enjoyed learning from the wide variety of projects undertaken by our clubs and witnessing firsthand the difference Rotary makes in communities both locally and around the world.
Thank you once again for your leadership, your service, and your belief in Rotary. Let us finish the year strong, together.
