Solomon Islanders 17 year old Roselyn Jatobatu and her mother Anna have a lot to smile about after live-saving heart surgery.

Coping with limiting breathlessness and fatigue and facing an uncertain future due to a serious congenital heart condition, Roselyn was operated on at the San Hospital after a call to arms by Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC).

The San Hospital have some great humanitarian medical specialists with a long history of volunteering their medical skills, without the surgery the prognosis for Roselyn was not good, and as expected the medical and surgical teams immediately committed their time and expertise.

The Rotary Club of Glenhaven played its part by hosting Roselyn and mother during pre and post surgery, thanks to Rotarians Liz and Hans Rupp who volunteered their home at a time of urgent need.
